Warrant Officer 2 (WO2) Gavin Michael Christie was a highly decorated member of the South African Special Forces, specifically the 4 Reconnaissance Commando. He was awarded the Honoris Crux (HC) medal, which was the highest South African military decoration for bravery in the face of the enemy, on five separate occasions in 1980.
