04 May 1978 Cassinga

The para strike against Cassinga went in on the 4th May 1978, and although it turned out to be a tougher nut to crack than anticipated, it was a complete success. SWAPO lost over a 1 000 guerrillas, dead or captured, against South African casualties of four dead and eleven wounded.
