FLEC-Zairian force invades Cabinda, but is beaten back with heavy casualties by the FAPLA-Cubans. Roberto, against the advice South African advisors, orders disastrous attack against MPLA-Cuban positions in Quifangondo (just north of Luanda), and his army is beaten back with 120 dead.
